Why Professional Hood Cleaning?

To protect your employees, customers, and facility, proper cleaning and maintenance of your commercial kitchen exhaust system is critical. It’s also required by fire jurisdictions and insurance companies. The cleaning must be done by a certified company following NFPA 96 guidelines. Choosing the right partner for your hood cleaning is the first step.

Why SafeHoods for Your Hood Cleaning Needs?

“Our Passion Is Quality Service.”

SafeHoods stands uniquely out as a commercial hood cleaning service provider for the Puget Sound area.

Certified

Quality means that SafeHoods is certified to clean commercial kitchen hoods to the highest standards (NFPA 96), in order to correctly remove grease buildup and prevent fires that can destroy your property, endanger your employees and customers, and keep you compliant with fire department and insurance company requirements.

  • Certified. Certification is increasingly becoming a requirement of fire department jurisdictions and insurance companies for services rendered in commercial kitchens. But not all who call themselves hood cleaners are certified and not all who are certified have certification based upon NFPA 96 (National Fire Protection Association) code. NFPA 96 is the standard by which commercial hoods must be cleaned to be in compliance with local and state jurisdiction regulations. SafeHoods is certified through the Phil Ackland Kitchen Hood Cleaning School which for 35 years has provided hands-on training and certification directly aligned with NFPA 96 standards and is highly respected by fire inspectors, restaurant managers, property owners, and city leaders all across the USA and Canada.

Specialized

Quality means that SafeHoods crews are specialized. They are selected for their passion for outstanding service, trained to evaluate the unique cleaning requirements for each customer location, and wield the industry’s most cutting-edge technology.

  • Specialized. Unlike many other hood cleaners, SafeHoods specializes in cleaning your ENTIRE hood system with every service. Our crews understand that every part of the hood system is important to clean, and that each customer’s system is unique and requires a customized approach. By continually investing in emerging technology, we employ the latest state-of-the-art equipment, so you are assured of absolute quality service for your particular location. Whether it’s using strategies for cleaning hard to reach fans or using special tools for addressing grease build up in extensive or almost inaccessible duct work, our quality standards mean thorough cleaning of the entire hood system each and every service. From specialized foaming brush scrubbers for the toughest near-impossible jobs, to custom chemical degreaser formulas for addressing varying grease types, to portable equipment designed to meet the needs of “quiet zone” jobs, SafeHoods makes sure that we can and do address your location’s special needs, and that we maintain that level of cleanliness service after service.

  • Communication First. We start exceptional communication even before you are a SafeHoods customer. We do initial pre-service visits at you location to meet you face-to-face, listen closely and respond directly to your questions and concerns, and evaluate your hood system first-hand. Together we come up with a service plan that results in optimal outcomes for you. Going forward we provide scheduling that works for your business, followed by reminder notification the day before each service. Comprehensive and timely after-service-reports give you a clear picture of the pre- and post-service states of your system and advise you of needed repairs, updates, and services for optimal system performance, health, and fire safety. We keep meticulous records through a comprehensive software service specifically designed for field service management, and therefore we always have all of your system information and historical records at our fingertips. SafeHoods always picks up the phone when you call and promptly responds to emails and texts.
